She was spared the initial horror, but the world she knew was long gone by the time she returned to the Shelter. An adventurer with significant experience in the wild, she knows how to survive with limited resources and uses her knowledge to save people. The Zombie apocalypse depressed her, but she's not out of the fight. She believes the disaster will pass, and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
