Unlike others who idle away their days trying to make a living in the Bru District, Janet had loved drawing and painting since she was a child. Economic circumstances limited her ability to study art, especially since she also had a troublesome younger brother, Rick, to support. Sometimes, she would secretly sneak into the district school to eavesdrop on art classes. After learning about graffiti as a form of artistic expression, Janet was drawn to its freedom and individuality. She spent her meager living expenses on spray paint and began to unleash her creativity on the walls of the District. Thanks to her efforts, the once dull and lifeless District gradually took on a new look. The graffiti, once dismissed as mischief, soon filled the area with a sense of artistry. Because of this, Janet even received some decoration jobs. That day, Janet took her saved-up money and dragged the reluctant Rick with her to the large shopping mall in the city center. She wanted to buy a new skateboard for her brother’s birthday. She could already imagine Rick complaining about being forced to be her shopping mule on his day off, only to receive his favorite gift—his reaction at that moment would be priceless. Suddenly, the appearance of zombies shattered their pleasant outing. The crowd in the mall screamed and ran in panic, separating Janet and Rick. Relying on her familiarity with the mall, Janet calmly evaded danger and anxiously searched for Rick. Suddenly, she witnessed a shocking scene: Rick, riding his skateboard, bravely rescued a little girl who had fallen and was trying to lead her to safety. However, Rick’s efforts were interrupted by another wave of zombies. Janet saw Rick being swept toward the entrance by the crowd, but also noticed the little girl, who had fallen again—not immediately overwhelmed by the zombies, but being dragged deeper into the mall by a few stray zombies. Her brother’s burst of courage made it impossible for her to stand by and do nothing. Quietly, she followed and, when the zombies were off guard, she fiercely sprayed their eyes with her spray paint can. Quickly, she pulled the little girl up and escaped through the fire exit. After escaping the mall, her only thought was to make sure Rick was safe. She anxiously searched through the chaotic crowd and soon spotted his lost and dejected figure. Rick was standing there like a statue, his face showing a despair she had never seen before. The little girl beside Janet brightened up, running forward to hug Rick’s leg. Watching her brother’s face shift from utter shock to pure joy, Janet slowly walked over, and at last, the heavy stone in her heart was lifted.
